I love your work solo and with PT. What exercises do you do to warm up your voice for the high harmonies you do on PT songs like "drown with me" and "Open Car" (Bury the heart shaped shell)?
ON the last sets of touring, I would usually have some tea and honey early on in the show and warm up in the dressing room with scales, I play them on the guitar and start by humming them along with the guitar, then moving to a bit of a "vowel" regimen. Very light, not too much and work my way slowly up the register. Very easy and very quiet as to not bother the other guys...a lot of times alone on the bus... I am a bit private when warming up!
I was there! And it's "funny" how the turns and twists of life happen... I live in Canada now, and I saw you playing at the Marillion Weekend in Montreal a couple of years ago!John Wesley responded on 06/21/2012 Next question
Hi Wes, how are you? This is Luis from Brazil. Will you be teaching at MI again this summer?
Have a great week!
